Actually, female whydahs might be welcome?Shannylee wrote: w.l., canaries and whydahs.Just kidding. My wish list:
Orange cheek waxbills
Common waxbills
Lavenders
Blue capped cordon bleus
The waxbill list is great, though I might get something else (firefinches? Green twinspots?) instead of the orange-cheeks.
Also remember that the 2 species of cordons shouldn't be housed together.
Btw, have your red-cheeked cordons feathered out?
Anyway, curious to hear what you've returned home with!

w.l., I started a thread under Finch Chat called "New Kids". I attached pix of my new waxbills. Orange Cheeked and Orange Breasted. They are fabulous!
There were only about 4 whydahs to pick from but I'm not going to get females. The males are happy as next door neighbors and have singing contests all day. They have a lovely song.
At the mart....no cordon bleus. Very few European goldfinches. A few lavenders and owls. A blue faced parrotfinch that I fell in love with. *sigh* It was fun. I controlled myself and only came home with 2 pairs. There is always the show in April. ;)
