I am with Candace on this topic. She nailed it perfectly as to why I would prefer to have captive raised rather than wild caught.

That said, my goldbreasts are said to be wild caught. I bought them when I really had no clue what I was doing. I lucked out though with a really tame pair of GBs. (or as Candace would have my male labeled, St. Goldena Breast)
Goulds, Owls, Gold Breasts, Stars, Zebras, Societies
An obscene number of chicks and eggs
And an incredibly rare St. Goldena Breast finch
Anyone want some finches???

LOL :lol: Now that is a great name for that hybrid you got yourself there....

You know I was just thinking, If your goldbreast were wild caught how could it be a hybrid with a St. Helena ? You know that breeder may have done a little captive breeding with her wild caught stock....hhhmmmm
