Well Snowflake has a male friend now! I GORGEOUS well colored CFW male, whose name is Jack Frost. He is singing to her, and she immediately went to him when I put him in the cage! I can now here there happy beeps and meeps and his singing, such a wonderful sound! I will post pictures once he and they get settled in together!

Congrats, well colored CFW males aren't the easiest to find. So much for the transition phase, huh? Sounds like she wanted a friend. In typical Zebra fashion, putting couples together can be a interesting experience. We've had some take immediately like your two and then we've had some that never worked it out at all and we had to go in a totally different direction. Patiently waiting on those pics...

I think she had been without any finch company for a day and a night and so was relieved to finally have another finch and it just happened to be a male. They are both now resting side by side on the same branch. He has a cute little song that he has been singing off and on. Is it ok to breed to CFW's together? There offspring won't be blind will they?
