there is a possibility that this person may have been sold these finches on the understanding that they could talk..after all we all learn something everyday and somethings that may sound stupid to us may well be thought true to others until they learn otherwise!

ken
I realize that you people are laughing at my expense, but I certainly did not buy them on the notion they could talk at all. I'm rather offended by all of this, actually. I simply read an article by a lady who said her finch could talk. I thought that they couldn't so I wanted to be sure. That's all. So I hope you can all climb down from your high and mighty horses now.

Oh dear, I don't believe any of us were laughing AT you, just the idea of a finch talking. We were concerned that possibly someone had sold you them on the pretence that they could learn to talk and that you had been tricked by a shady dealer. I don't believe anyone here meant any offence.

i certainly did not mean any offence,if it came over like that i am truly sorry..i was just annoyed that someone may have taken advantage of another person who was less knowledgeable about finches ,i am the last person to ridicule anyone on this site as even after the length of time i have kept finches ..i know there is always something to learn everyday..i say again i am truly sorry if it sounded offensive i can only apologise! to you
