there are also some scarlett chested mutations.
I am getting 2 related rosey babies, one unrelated pink and from another breeder a normal split to either rosey or pink or a normal split to cream.

Re: 10-7 Rosey Bourke baby pics update
I talked to both breeders and this is the bourke line up this fall!!!
From one breeder I am getting two siblings that are visually rosey (don't know if I should get two females or two males or one of each sex). I may get two hens to avoid and possibility of bonding and mating.
He is pairing a rosey and a pink together and I will get a baby from that clutch...unrelated to the young mentioned above.
The second breeder called Friday night she has a light colored normal bourke that have parents that are rosey/pink and the father is a creme with the red eyes. The little baby does not have the red eyes but the gene pool is good for colors. He is weaned right now and still begging, very friendly.
She also has a unrelated young rosey one that I will also buy.
And she has unrelated young from another pair that are normal split to rosey so I may take one from that clutch also.
The breeders are getting them DNA sexed and I'll be able to pair up males and females based on the sexes. Getting two related won't e a problem since it is good to have extra hens around just in case the males are fickle and don't like the mate you choose for them.
Bourkes take a good year to mature and it is recommended that they not be bred before a year old. They are going into a flight and will be able to paly and get use to each other for that time. They will all be color banded so we can tell them apart.

Are there certain colors you can't put together to breed?

You can have normals split to more than one color and you can have one color split to another. The sites I posted http://merga.net/mates/bourkes.php
http://merga.net/mates/mmut.php
have several mutations in it...

I've been on that website but don't see how you get to any other pages except home which seems to take you only to home and then nothing else is available to look at like when he refers to this page -
"Refer to section on genetics for breeding combinations."
