They appear to be in full adult color/plumage to me. Did the seller say they would get more extensive red covering or brighter red?
They look to have good coloring from my monitor :)

Candace, they just are at the very tail end of a molt. A few tiny feathers on the head of the one female and both males to go.

I barely know they are in the other room, their calls and song is so soft.

I have a French/Italian country kitchen, I started off with a chicken statue with chicks and people started giving me chicken accessories!!!!

I don't display them all just my little original piece with the hen and chicks.

Back a few years ago we hatched out chicks at school for the children in my class to see...I got to take 13 chicks home with me. They stayed in a big box in the newly decorated laundry/pantry room. That was an interesting weekend!!!

Poor things look like they were attacked by Mike Meyers.

I love Cutthroats. They are really very nice birds. My collection of finches would not be complete with out them. I just wish they were easier to breed. Two fledglings in a year after many many failures.

I love the Cutts too! I love to watch the male sing and love the markings on them! I only have one pair and wondering why we aren't seeing them again now that I'm thinking about it. :? I hope we don't loose them again.
