Hi guys recently I bought two male eu goldfinches and spontaneously purchased a male strawberry finch.I googled the net to see if anyone has kept the two together in a large flight cage and nothing to suggest a positive hit.The birds are all new to each other and to my suprise and delight both nights that i had them one goldie and the strawberry have cuddled snuggled the night together. This could be a behaviour of insecurity as the goldfinches were brought in from the wild friday and sold sunday. Not to mention new cage and environment. They were very flighty and frightfull come on dusk as if not knowing where to settle them selves to sleep.Just checked on them and they are still together amazing I wonder how long this will last.

they can be more aggressive during breeding, but i think they wont.
these species are very friendly as i saw at my friend aviary and from my experience i can say, that only zebras are very aggressive even not breeding.
so, i think, there is nothing to worry about :)

Congrats on the new birds! Must be funny to see that little strawberry cuddled up next to the bigger goldie!
