I'm pretty sure these are going to be two males. The same pair of male Socs are now sitting tight on 4 more fertile Senegal Fire eggs.

Definitely two males--congrats! My Fires keep tossing babies, so I think I will have to try Societies. Maybe the next generation will be better.

I've got Societies sitting on 4 Fire eggs at the present, also. Should hatch anyday now. They tossed their last clutch of four after first hatching.
Yours are very handsome male chicks... nice coloring already.

Thank you Judy. I also have a pair of male Socs sitting on 4 Fire eggs that should hatch within a week now. My Fires have tossed every baby they've hatched (as I've mentioned before). Such a shame to 'waste' chicks like that when one doesn't have to.
Good luck to you and your Socs Judy. I'm excited for you and can't wait to hear your progress!

I hope your clutch of Fires went well Judy. My Societies ended up not sitting so those were wasted eggs.
But here's my two young boys all coloured up now and loving life!
The one in the middle of the last pic is the last Cuban finch to be weaned and surprised me by turning out to be a male! So handsome!

Thans everyone. I thought the colour combinations were so pretty. Almost like I glued them to the perch for picture time.

Thank you Bill. That one is a RH,PB,BB male. It's an all male flight. I have 3 of those BB's - siblings.
