Really Big Finch with a White Head

Post by Hilary » Tue May 16, 2006 11:38 pm

Ok, I have to share this! I found this link on the NFSS (National Finch & Softbill Society) yahoo group. It's a live cam located in the nest of a REALLY big finch with chicks!

Thanks for the link Hilary. Fasinating stuff!!

I've been watching peregrine falcons nest for the last two years at the Woodmen Tower in Omaha. Their camera isn't streaming like the one you found, but it's nice to see all the same. The pair this year, Zeus & Hera, have just hatched out five chicks!

Tammie -

I'll have to keep an eye on yours as well! I kept the eagle window open all of last night, and just kept checking. Actually caught the parent feeding both chicks. You think waxbills need protein - at least it doesn't have fur on it!! :-)
