can anyone explain this parson finch is male or female?to tell me that the parson finch is female.is it?

I can't tell you the sex, but he/ :D she is very pretty. :D

Both sexes of this species are virtually identical. There are subtle cues one can use to identify the sexes, but this really only possible when one has a group of birds to compare with one-another. A single bird is generally impossible to sex either in the flesh or from a photo.

I notice your bird appears to have a pale base to the lower mandible (beak) generally adults should have an all black beak, so this may be a young bird which has not yet attained full adult colour, or more worryingly, it may be a hybrid between the Black Throated and Long-tailed (AKA Shaft-tailed) species. If the latter, it would be advisable not to breed from this bird.
