Hi...
I have one pair of Fawn Java finches. I am confirmed with their sex but still waiting for Male Java to sing... They are both in their adult plumage.. The only reason i could understand it that they might be new to my house so thats why little shy to sing although they both produce the P P sound on each other call...
Its about 3 days passed and male did not started the nesting though...
what to do or leave them as they are....
Regards

Welcome to the forum ,if you fill in your profile with where you live it makes it a lot easier to answer questions sometimes ,have you checked out the finch information center there is a lot of good reading there

I'll add my welcome to Bill's! And second his advice about giving them some time. One thing our finches teach us is patience! I'm going to move this thread to Species.
