.:Final Update:.

The surviving goldfinch that I had been taking care of was released into the wild this morning. He was exactly 2 months old, and was hand fed by me since day one.
I was a little hesitant about letting him go, because he's still very tame and I don't want him to fly up to random people. But I've got no choice since the wild birds are probably going to migrate soon. I left him in a field with lots of thistle plants, so I hope he'll be okay.
Thanks everyone who helped me with them. Sadly only one of the four survived...

It is great that were able to raise one! Kudos to you for even attempting. I'm sure once the little bird tastes freedom it will be very hesitant to come into contact with other people. You should be so proud of yourself... and that wee bird

Meee tooo! What a wonderful accomplishment. Every time I see a wild Goldfinch, I'll think perhaps it's the one you saved. Thank you!

To repeat everyone else, you are an absolute wonderful person to have taken these little ones in and try.

If know that the disappointment of losing 3 is great, but aways try to look at the positive side..1 survived, due to your generousity, love and time.

Thanks for the update! I was afraid you had forgotten about us and was wondering what happened.
Just think, out there is a beautiful little goldfinch that was doomed and now has a chance at life -- I'm sure you earned an extra star for your crown in Heaven!

Well, if anyone sees him, please tell me. He has a plain orange band on his right leg, I really don't know why I put it on, but I guess it'll be useful for telling him apart from other birds.
I hope he comes back next year in the spring :3

It's so great that you were able to give the little one a second chance at life! You never know, he may come back next year! I have read stories about people rescuing and releasing baby sparrows only to have them stick around the area.
