Oh John, Patches and Cleo's newest offspring 10-3

Post by cindy » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:47 pm

Pathes and Cleo gave me a very nice clutch of chicks. In the past they only hatched normal males split to fawn and every once in a fawn female or a pearly pied fawn/grey.

This time they hatched three lovely fawn females and one grey male. Two of the females have a cream colored chest and one has a very white chest..she is very soft looking (my favorite to!).

Their parents were sent to me from Louisiana by John...they are wonderful little birds!

Very lovely looking youngsters you have there. Fawns have always appealed to me too.

Thanks everyone...they all puff up and tuck their heads to nap. My daughter said she didn't know we were raising brown cotton balls!

John, you have been busy going to New Orleans and getting your aviaries ready for winter...it has gotten a little cooler here to. At 10 am I went out of the house in shorts and a tank top. I was wondering if I should have brought a sweater with me! It was in the low 80's and really low humidty. Sounds silly but we were dealing wth near 100 degree temps!

Had to post these, Patches and Cleo out did themselves this time!!!
