Clutz of the day knocked down a nest in the aviary while cleaning. Lo and behold there were of course babies in it. Once touched to put back in the mom and dad will have nothing to do with them. Ergo, they have found a new mom.

In the beginning of this dilemna there were 4 babies. I just couldn't save the 1. Now there are 3. Later this afternoon I will add pics....

The remaining 3 are starting to eat millet and flying around only a little. I am keeping them in a very small cage in a heated bathroom to keep them warm. They will be moving in the next day or so to a larger cage within my room. My room is quite a bit cooler. I am wondering if they will catch a cold or if you think they will be ok. They do have feathers now and are looking like Owls.

I should mention that I have been mom for more the 3 weeks now.

Again I will edit ad and add pics this afternoon when I get home from work.

Pic added but quality I am unsure of. The old lady here forgot!

Such cute baby Owls...will be looking forward to more photos.
I have 3 little Owls too! I hope they continue to do well for you. My baby Owls sure are LOUD when they are begging....It was neat to hear at first but now I am ready for them to get weaned so the volume level in the dining room goes down!

The owls are now on their own eating and drinking! I am just extatic that they seem to be thriving! These guys were a lot more work the Gouldians are. They definately don't wean until about 6 weeks. They are surely keepers though!
