I'm so sorry you lost your Swee hen, Misty. I got 3 pairs from Singing Wings, but have never had any breeding action from them. I don't know that I really have 3 pairs, but it would cost me the price of another pair to DNA them all!

Maybe one of these days.

Fardad - I split a few posts off of "Cando's mineral mix" at the request of Candace (post author) due to their not being about her mineral mix but rather about Swees. Is my editing of "Cando's mineral mix" to "Swees" on the subject line of individual posts more suitable?

You cannot be serious...... we have all been off topic many times before and MOST don't have any problems with it.......

Donna, this mineral mix was made into a 'sticky' for furture reference for other forum members... "Sticky" post are created by the moderators (not my idea but glady allowed if it could be helpful)
Sticky post should be about the content as many members looking at the quick reference many times don't want to read through a lot of unrelated material

I assure you the request had nothing to do with me having a problem. Just trying to contribute helpful information to this forum. Thank you Janine and Liz for oportunity to offer my experience in a sticky.... hope it does not cause a "sticky situation" with others
And off topic on my regular post is fine with me you must know by now..... I also go off topic on others post.... oops...I think this is about Swees and Yellow Bellies

As the posts were getting into species appearances, I thought it pertinent to dedicate a thread to those species rather than have it get lost in diet and nutrition.
Please Donna, let's take this offline - PM me if I am making things more cloudy than clear.

Let's be respectful, folks. Liz (and Candace) are correct in that stickies should stick (get it? Stick?

) to topic - I've split many in my time. It's a shame that this split topic seems to have lost much of its meaning since much of the discussion has been edited out (though the information about yellow-bellied waxbills versus swees is certainly helpful - thanks Fardad and Cindy).
