Finches & canaries

I was wondering if it is okay to house them together in a large cage?

I have a single male canary in a flight cage with a variety of finches and have not ever experienced any problems. Note this is a non-breeding flight.

This has been discussed several times. Most people have no trouble housing a canary or two in a mixed flight. I have two hens in with my other finches and although they sometimes get into a little squabble, they never bother the other birds.
