Hello!
I bought a canary from the local pet store last April (you might recall I got him with the African Golden Breasted Bunting). Just today it finally occurred to me that I should see what his band says. Turns out it is an AWS band. I had no idea what this meant until I found the website for AWS. I would have to join AWS to ge more info off his band (breeder, where he came from, etc.) It appears he was hatched in 04 so he is a bit of an old guy! I am wondering how common Waterslager canaries are in the US and what makes them different from regular canaries. I must say his song is simply enchanting!
Thanks in advance!
Gina

I don't have any Canary experience so I can't help you there but we'd love to see a pic of the 'old boy'.

Not the clearest picture and it's from August. Guess I'll have to take more pictures!
