Star Finches

I read through the information center stuff, but I don't see lifespan listed anywhere. What's the average lifespan??

If you use the site's search feature and search for average life span, the very first result that pops up gives you the answer. It links to the following page, which can also be found by accessing the "General" area and locating the very first article listed, entitled "Basic about Finches":

Thank you for the responce. I didn't want to know the basic life span of finches in general. More specific than 4-7 or more years. Star finches, what do they average?

I don't know that there is any published data specific to star finches regarding average life span in captivity, but if anyone else here has come across some data, do share!

I have most of the finch books that are out there (including one just on star finches), and none give a specific lifespan by species. It all depends on the bird and the care given.
