i have a gould for 4 days. hes calm very calm, i can get close to him and tell him cute thigs like" ur a cutieeee" he doesnt get awy instead he sometimes seems to enjoy it. ive read that finches like privacy or to be left alone. should i do this however?

and my zebra shes a scary-o. she hides when i get closed and makes such noise. will my gould also do the same with me if my zebra does it? i also admire their beauty and look at them for long time always. does this bothers them?

It does stress finches out to be approached too closely. Instead, it is better to let the finch choose if it wants to come closer to you. Sitting several feet from the enclosure and enjoying the birds from a distance is preferable until they get used to your presence. Some people (on this forum, even) have gotten their birds used to their presence to the point where they can enter their aviaries with seed in hand and the birds will land in their palm to eat!
