Gouldians--is this a good buy?

I have wanted Gouldians for some time, but they are hard to come by in my area. A lady I bought societies from is offering these Gouldians for sale. (The ad text is below). Is this a good buy given the ages, genders and colors? Should I hold out a bit longer and look for something younger, or proven (My main goal is not breeding, but would like to have the option if possible!)?
Thanks!

The package deal works out to about $31 per bird. Not bad but you have to consider their over all health and I wouldn't count on breeding the 9 year old!

You should be able to get a couple of breeding seasons from the 3 - 4 year olds. And the one year old is fine (if healthy). That is IF they haven't all just finished breeding. They are all greens except for one yellow and a silver. They should add quite a splash of colour to your aviary - just make sure they look active and healthy overall. Let us know what you do!

I agree with all Liz said.... and it sounds like a great deal to me if the birds are all healthy.

I would also wonder about the relatedness of the birds.

The societies I bought from her are gorgeous! Her bird room was very clean, well kept and nicely lighted. The birds I saw there were all healthy and they appeared to be very well cared for. I will ask her if they are related.
