I stumbled across two males with very light fawn backs, light gray head...the detail about them that gets me is their tails are fawn, light tan almost coffee with cream in it color.

The wings have the same coloring and seem to extend down into the tail feathers...sorry the pics are blurry but they would not pose for me!

What is this and if paired with fawn females will you get fawn males?

The female with him is a fawn from my original pair.

My best guess from the pictures is what I refer to as a light dominant silver. Many people call them dilutes or light fawns, or even creams ... which just makes it confusing for most hobby breeders.
I find , just as in gouldians. if you stick with the basic genetic terms and the genetic make ups it is simpler to figure out what mutation you have. With the dominant silvers there are so many shades in the back color from light grey to dark grey. Most will have some cream and brown in the rump area but the best way to tell is by their diluted cheek patches.

Candace I have silvers, he is more tan color than the silvers, the tail is a definate fawn color like you mixed up chocolate milk. Side by side next to other males the tail feathers are a definate brown.

The silver/fawn females I have have light silver colors on the backs and tails no dark markings, lightest of gray with white, stomaches are buff with buff coloring throughout the wings. I refer to efinch quiet often and will post pictures of the silver/fawn females I have.

They sure looked like silvers on my moniter. Sorry if I misled you,
sometimes the shades of greys, silvers and brown all look the same on my computer and many light dominants have the creams and browns throughout as stated in the link I added. (considered faults in the show ring) also this link is one of Landry's Acadiana Aviaries...not Beckham's efinch
Sometimes the zebras get so outcrossed it is almost impossible to tell what you have until you breed for a few generations and see what the offspring are.... then you can begin to decipher what you have in the original pair.
Like in the purple breasted gouldians, you think you know what you have until you pair one of their offsprings up and then get white breast....well back to the original pair you go.... they are split to whitebreat afterall, though you would never really know unless you did test breedings.

They look like dominant creams to me. If the color is showing correctly on my monitor.

I love these colored monitors The cheek patches look too dark and definately orangey on my monitor. I give up on this one Cindy, Here is another good site for standards that may help.

I have two of these boys and will pair them up with fawn females from two different pairs.

By the way...the female in the picutre is one of Patches' daughters.
