Sorry... I'm in Colorado.. otherwise I would love to add an owl finch to my flight

For new DNA, you could always purchase from a breeder in another state. If you're willing to pay for the shipping.

Owls are certainly scarce here on the east coast - how wonderful that your owls are breeding so well! There are two Yahoo groups that I would recommend for getting the word out for both the birds you'd like to sell as well as looking for new bloodlines:

Finches Buy Sell or Trade
Finches n Canaries 4 Sale

You can also list yourself on Birdbreeders.com

In the twenty five years I have been visiting pet shops here in NE, MO and KS., I have never seen an Owl finch. I would love to add a couple to my flock.

Guess I might have to make a trip to OK, otherwise it ain't ever gonna happen.

Hey, Andrew, I bought a pair of Owls at the Bird Mart in Ft. Worth this May from a man from Oklahoma. I should have gotten his name, but didn't. Did you sell any Owls (only Owls) at that Bird Mart? Anyway, there is another Bird Mart iin October in Ft. Worth--don't know if it would be worth your while to drive that far.

Thank you very much for the info.
If anyone may intrested shoot me an email. I would be more than willing to help anyone that would like a few owls to help obtain them, however shipping just isnt an option. http://www.finchinfo.com/my_birds/index.php
That story from Crystal sums it up why I cant bring myself to ship any live creature.

As for the man in Ft Worth my guess would be the same man that I found mine from, a Mr. Davis. Very good man with alot of knowledge.

Thanks again,
Andy

you could try LIVEDEAL.COM. It is like ebay except for animals. Pretty neat website. You can sell birds, livestock, dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, exotics, just about anything that you want. Go check it out.

I'd love to buy an owl finch from you, but I don't think I'd have the room. I currently have 3 birds (gouldian, society, and spice finches) and will be getting one more bird (another gould) in the future. My cage can supposedly hold up to 5 birds, but I'd be afraid that if I had only one owl, he/she might get picked on being the only owl. :( I live fairly close to you...in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. :)

Though I am not ready to do so just yet, I am highly interested in getting some more owls of unrelated blood. I will check back in and see if you have some to spare when I am!
