Anybody know at what age the Red Cheek Cordon Bleu males get their red cheeks?
Also do the beeks stay red on both sexes, or only when they are breeding?
My males beek is red but the hens is just starting to turn.

Sorry, I've always forgotten to write down when the males got their red cheecks. The beaks on my Cordon Bleus stay the same whether breeding or not. The Blue-caps have shorter, stouter, fuschia-colored beaks. The Red-cheeks have longer, pointier beaks that are dark at the tip.

Is the red on the cheek noticeble when they fledge?
Or is it more when they molt?

RCCB's do not have any red on their cheeks when they fledge. It might happen at 3 or 4 months IF I remember right. But I too did not write it down.

That's right, no red cheeks when they fledge, nor when they wean. I think it is when they do their first molt.
