2 Yellow, 3 Dilute and 3 Greens?

Post by L in Ontario » Mon May 16, 2011 10:00 pm

The parents have 3 just weaned chicks in the cage and these 8 new hatchlings.

Mom is BH,PB-W,BB
Pops is RH,PB-W,SFY (dilute)

I am pretty sure I have their colours right in the subject. Can you pick them out in the photo?

Great clutch. Gets easier to see the suspected colours when you know what to look for.

I do love how you guys can pick these colours out from the time they are hatched - that's dedication and experience!! =D>

Hmmmm... I think the babies bottom far left and top center might be WB SF Yellow males :)

Hmmm indeed - I thought the two together on the lower right side might be SFY's... :?

I thought the two in the bottom right were the yellows? Then the bottom left and top center (and maybe top right) were the dilutes and the others were the greens? At least that's what I see, but I know Tiffany is the expert.

But if I were to take a guess I'd say 4 GB's, 2 SFY's, and 2 yellows. Just my two cents.

The two bottom right are most definitely yellow but they will be female :)

YOU are amazing. =D>

Unfortunately they lost one of the yellow females and one of the males - leaving 6 chicks that are well fed.
