Very striking birds, Jan. I've never even heard of them before. The males don't have a huge change in plumage then, like other weavers? Here's hoping those 2 eggs hatch! [-o<

They are really interesting birds...I love the color combinations. It is funny sometimes where our finches decide to build a nest! Hope the eggs are fertile, I know we would love to see what their young look like!!! :D :D

I just love those birds and their coloring! Are they aggressive or passive types? I also liked your diamond finches in the other post. So pretty! You have some unique finches. 8)

I really don't know how aggressive they are :?: I have been unable to find much information on them. I just have the one pair & they are alone in this flight... They are large compared to my other finches & they will sit on their perch and follow you with their eyes as you move around the room, very curious birds..

I love seeing new birds! I've not heard of them either but they're very pretty. What country do they come from? Keep us posted on the eggs! I hope they hatch!

Jan could probably get them when they become available. I've seen them on Birds Express's price list.

Yep, they came in that one time, I got a pair just to see & have been trying to find more ever since... They know over the years that anything odd is an easy sale to me, so I get phone calls & emails anytime something different comes in.. BTW, just got some European Robins & will post pictures once they are good & settled in.. :D
