Thank you Liz!
I would like to ask how long do you keep your owls before selling them? The oldest are 5 months but I am afraid to sell them at that age since some people may not wait until they are over a year to mate them.

Congrats Cindy!! I cannot believe the luck you have with your owls... mine won't do a thing.
I think it would be safe to go ahead and sell some of them.
I just always be sure and tell them that they are too young to breed yet. Hopefully if someone pays for a bird they will take care and be responsible......

I haven't sold any of mine yet as I only just banded my first four owl chicks two days ago!

However, I agree with Donna that you should be okay to sell some now with the reminder to people that they cannot be bred before they are a year old. That's what I tell everyone when I sell a finch under a year of age.

Donna and Liz, that is the same thing my friend told me...all you can do is advise and hope they listen. I would prefer not to sell the owls at the show if I do one. What I would like to do is offer them to forum members first. These aren't sexed yet but I believe there are 2 females and 2 males...related.
Thank you Candace.

You've really done such a wonderful job with breeding your Owls! Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it!

they are lovely little dears and If i lived closer instead of clear across the United States, I'd buy a couple of your beauties!!!

Trish...I would love for you to have owls!! Sure you don't want to come to Florida and take home a few souvenirs?

You know, Cindy, if you have too many owls...just a short drive north and you can deposit a few in Georgia....I'm sure folks up here would find some place to put them...hehe
Lovely pictures!
