i cant believe it out of 6 chicks 5 are 100% cocks and i dont know the sex of the other one 2 normal x fawn and 4 Chestnut Flanked White (well one is like a normal cock but i think the father is Chestnut Flanked White x normal

all the chicks were white except this one (next to the hen)

Okay, I could be completely wrong about this but I believe I read somewhere that the quality parents diet will determine the majority of sex in the clutch. I would be interested in hearing if this is true or not should anyone know.

well the first 2 was female but i started mixing alot of millet in there diet so maybe thats why i got alot of males

Have you heard or read that as well? If that's the case...I am having all males. My Goulds devour Browntop Millet like candy.

If that's the case then I must feed a fairly balanced diet to my Zebbies. Both clutches have had an even number of males and females!!

KUDOS to you! However, I am not certain about this and would love for someone to "chime in" and correct me if I am wrong.

I've also heard that if you want more hens in your clutch you must give them a better diet.
Not sure how true any of these statements are though, my guess is that they are old wives tales.

Personally, I think it is just luck of the draw.

I hope that's the case I don't want all males...
