Thank you Anna, they are the last clutch to hatch out...16 young in total between pairs. We have more fertile eggs due to hatch in about a week or more!

Re: Newest owl family 7-21-2011
Thank you....the family is part of a colony cage...there are three other adults in to care for them.
My other pair is in a 36 h x 18 deep x 30 w cage with another cage like that for older young that are from the first clutch. I am thinking of opening the cage up to combine the cages since I notice the older young from the first flight bouncing off the common wall and calling to the other owls. The longer 6ft flight, the birds are calmer than the two cages with the dividing/common wall.
Colony cage ~ 3 adults plus a pair and 6 offspring

Re: Newest owl family 7-21-2011
WOW! That is something else! Great job, you have really found your niche with the owls. It's funny because I remember a year or so ago how much you struggled with getting your owls to breed. You showed incredible patience though and now it seems like the kernels are all popping at once!
I hope you have a big enough bowl to contain them all.

Thanks Domenic...one of the older pairs have still not produced, they laid eggs but nothing. The 2 new pairs are very productive though.
