At one time I was looking at possibly getting a pair of Green Singers, but I'd heard they could be quite aggressive, so passed up on it. I've recently been reading some things online though, that Green Singers are typically only aggressive to other pairs of Green Singers, but not generally other finches. Is this true?
I'd consider getting a pair, just because they're a bigger finch that might not be quite so intimidated of my Java Rice as my smaller birds are. That being said, I have the Java, who is nice but "scary" to the other birds, and I have several smaller birds (spice, silverbills, etc.), would a pair of Green Singers harass or be aggressive to smaller birds or the Java, or are they only aggressive towards each other, as the websites have been saying?

Re: Aggressiveness of Green Singers
I keep my Green singers in a separate flight cage. I find they a a bit hyper at times, flighty if startled. I have never had them in with other finches. They are sweet birds if kept separately, the male's song is very pretty.

Re: Aggressiveness of Green Singers
I have two pairs of Green Singers and they are housed separately, because when I put them with Society's, Spice etc. they chased everyone around the cage all the time. They were territorial about branches, food dishes, and anything they thought of as their space.
