What do you think are the most popular colors of gouldian finches in recent years? Do more people prefer the standard green backed birds or prefer the yellow or blue back colors? Is one head or chest color more sought after than others? With all the pretty color combinations available on them, I am curious as to what people prefer.

I do love every single mutation however to date the favorites that have been produced out of my clan would be OH PB GB male , BH WB BB hen, and a BH WB SFY male.

It depends on who is looking at the birds. I was told by the local bird shop owner that most of his clients want the normal RH-PB-GB. They want the color of the gouldian, and the various mutations are not as colorful as the normal.

I like the yellows best.
I love seeing the purple breast against the yellow!
Or the pale tangerine yellow face with a white breast.
I have seven yellows and they are a little different.
Some are supposed to be the same, rh pb yb but still they
are just a little different shading!
But I do want some blue, and see the differences

Oh as for me RH-WB-YB, followed by BH-WB-BB.
I'm sure I will get bitten by other color combos, but those are what I am working on right now.

I love the normals too, and after watching a blue come into colour, they may not be as bright but what the blue does to the rest of the colours is very pretty.

I'm enthralled with dilutes, personally, I love the subtle yet dense color tones and pastels.
