First time banding chicks

These chicks are under a pair of society, they are 15 days old now, it's a little hard to band them, I also banded another clutch of 4 which are 10 days old, much easier with the 2nd clutch. My 2nd clutch is raising by their parent goulds. I wasn't planning to band them at first, I was afraid I might hurt them during the process, however I might keep some of them and do not want to inbreed the siblings, so band them is the way to go. Sorry about the blurry pictures, I'll take pictures with a real camera next time.

Nice going Don. =D> Nestlings typically get banded around the 7 - 9 day timeframe. They do wiggle quite a bit, don't they?

The first time it's a little bit harder, then you'll get used to band them! Good Job I would say!

Liz, they wiggled quite a bit and it was hard to get them out of the nest.

Thanks everyone for looking.

Good job! I'm still working up to this one myself, but I will have to start banding in the near future too.
