Got 4 new zebs yesterday,3 cocks 1 hen
Image
The cock on the front has unusal cheek patches,as you can see this side is mostly white
Image
Yet the other side is normal cheek with just a couple of white feathers(the guy in the background)
Any ideas what mutation he is?
Also,what mutation is the female?
She is white with black cheeks, and a slighty grey colourling to top her head
Image
The tears are black and just fade as they go further out

The male is a pied normal, I believe. I'm not sure about the white Zebra.

Both are beautiful - congratulations!! =D>

The female is a black cheeked chestnut flanked white (CFW) or continental CFW as some call them. Beautiful birds. =D>

The black cheek white bird is a BC Continental CFW, the black coloring on the head should fade away. Young are born with black heads and as they molt the head becomes white.

If she is a BC CCFW she will be, they can have a little dusting of black, but it is ever so faint. If you are able could you get a close shot of her? I have male and female offspring...shame you are across the Atlantic...I have a male for her.

Do you have a Black cheek?

Yes I have a BC that is currently feeding two chicks, and I am hoping one of them is a BC as the tail is starting to look like the dads

You can pair a BC to a BC CCFW, the chicks will come out either looking like one of the parents and be split to the other mutation...

Hi and congrats on your new zebs!

you have normal grey pied male and normal males.
the white female is CFW and looks like she is BC or split.
CFW have light brown or light grey tail bars, rump.
But CCFW have dark grey or almost black tail bars, rump.

Will be CFW as the tail bars are very light, can only see them in sunshine as they so light and faint i only spotted them a coupke days ago
