I think everyone who has been on this forum for a while already knows my views on hybrids. I believe in keeping bloodlines pure. Each species has its own unique characteristics, and I agree with Tiffany--why would anyone want to dilute these species?

There is a video next to it, looks like it might be a cross between an owl and shaft tail. One of the reasons I keep my species separate especially during breeding. Don't want them getting cozy with the neighbor.

You are always going to have the people who will produce hybrids because they can, for their own personal gratification. And in this day of 'Show and Tell' via youtube, there is even more incentive for these people to not only produce these hybrids, but brag about it.

I think the same , I think that people need to stop crossbreeding species, because if God create them like that is for a purposed. In the other hand thats the way that many new species are born, and found everyday but it takes years to perfection them.

I know I have said before that there are owl/zebra "rare" designer birds occasionally for sale in FL for lots of money! I would never buy one and have told sellers that. That's all I can do.

I am not totally opposed to the practise,
but there must be a purpose for it!
The red factor canary was initially a hybrid.
That was a red Siskin x canary cross.
Mules are good, because they produce great singers!
In Europe, it is an art form and bird
shows dedicate sections just for mule and hybrids.
Again, I say there has to be an reason!
