Zebra couple is finally sleeping in the nest box

Post by Tolly_Paikea » Tue Oct 25, 2011 1:20 pm

I'm so pleased, Tolly and Pai are finally sleeping in the milk carton nest box, on their own

The last week I've been turning the light off, catching them and placing them in the box, they are very friendly and are very easy to catch(unlike my late Society who was quite the flight taker) but unless I did this they would sleep on the highest perch(which was lover then the nest) they did not seem to object to this routine as I would have expected them to

then last night I go into put them to be and low and behold! there's 2 little heads poking out of the box looking at me as if to say "are you gonna turn the light off or not!?! we're tired here!"
cracked me up!

God! Finches are just so darn cute!!
