Best species to catch the eye at a distance?

Hi

All finches look gorgeous up close but which ones also catch your eye from a distance?

I would assume that Gouldians will be on the list because of their incredible colours, but which other species look good in an aviary viewed from afar?

:)

Two birds that people often comment on in my aviary is the Red throated parrot finches and the Owl finches. The black and white barred look draws as much interests as all the colours funny enough.
Third place of interest would go to my Blue caps. They also get a compliment on the nice blue colour.

I agree. I get comments on my RHPF, RCCB, Owls and I also get compliments on my Green Singers. I guess everyone loves a yellow canary type bird.

In my aviary it is the red throat parrot finch and the gold breast waxbill that stand out to people.

I have gouldians, red throats, cordon bleus, stars, and many more colorful finches at the store. Also many colorful grasskeets, rosey bourkes, scarlet chested, red rumps, budgies
And still it is usually the canaries that get the most attention. The bright intense wellow, red factors, and mosaics...along with the crested staffords get most of the comments. When they burst into song people are even mor enamour3ed with them :D
Though I have 2 flight cages full of gouldians in the window and everyone that walks by the store, even in a hurry to another place, all stop and gaze for a moment. I here them ohh an ahh over their beauty. :D

I think that the pied red headed parrot finches and the cordon bleus get a ton of attention, as well red factor canaries have a burst of color and get a ton of attention.

Any of the parrot finches, gouldians, cordon bleus, and yellow or red-factor canaries (for sound and color). People seem drawn to the reds, yellows, greens, and blues. If you can find a bird that encompasses all those colors, even better. Good luck! :)
