I am a new owner of 2 little societies I stood at the store watching 5 of them for about 35 minutes to guess who was a boy and who was a girl.... I'm pretty sure there was 2 girls and 3 boys... I am thinking my crested is a female as it sounds like a cricket or nothing at all - Named her Brindie, and the other is definitely a male as he does his song and dance that the males do and I named him Spiral. I think they are Chestnut Pied? not sure See pictures.....

They are adorable!....Are you planning to breed them?.....If you are there will be more crested in our future!...Gotta love those crested!

They are adorable! I love my Societies too! Were you able to find out if they are or aren't siblings? I'm only mentioning it because they look a lot alike. They're both very pretty!

thanks, and no I'm not planning on breeding them to eachother... as I was thinking they are probably brother and sister since there were only 5 in the same cage and they all looked similar ;) These 2 kept coming over to the side of the cage I was at and looking at me and crooking their heads in curious ways to look at me and you know how it is you get that feeling how you just couldnt leave without them....

congratulation, the birds are beautiful. Are you plan on getting more societies so that way u have diff blood line for pairing?

possibly if I see something that grabs my eye again
once I figure out to either build an avairy or connect some cages together to make a longer one

any suggestions on what color these two are? was I right when I guessed Chestnut pied?
