Owl molt?

I have some questions about molting in owl finches.
My pair is 5-8 months old now. Would they already be past their juvenile molt at this point? How do they molt- all at once like gouldians, or continually, like zebras?
I am trying to make plans for breeding them in the future so I am curious how they do it?

They molt often, mine are just going through a big molt...all the owls are. It seems to be kind of like every 4 to 6 months. They look raggy for a bit until they are done then they all look great. Mae sure you have a bath for them...I find they bathe more when molting, in general they love to bathe but it seems more so now...not sure if it is due to the heat being on for a bit.

Thanks Cindy. My female is starting to look a little raggedy, which is what made me ask. I've also noticed they are less "in the mood" lately, too.
I give them a bath every other day usually, but I will up it to every day to help them out.
Any special foods you would recommend for them while they molt?

Besides the seed, pellets I have been giving them some eggfood and mashed eggshell, romaine. I have several zebra pairs with young so i make a little extra for the owls....with 24 there are feathers all over!!!!
