Sure looks like a pair. The male, in the front on the swing, is either going into or coming out of breeding plumage. The other sure looks like a hen. Strawberry males in eclipse plumage look like hens, but they often will have a redder or darker red rump or upper tail coverts than a hen--not real obvious though. Males also usually have larger spots than hens. If they are from the same clutch, then you would think if they were both males, they would both be going into or out of breeding plumage at the same time. Very good chance they are a male/female pair. If they are brother/sister, you could pair the hen with the male you already have. So are these for sale?

I know they are from the same clutch.
I dont have three birds.
I picked up the lighter one today from Debbie in Airdie.
She thought it was a male, but looks like a hen!

When I put the new bird in with my original bird, he went nuts and started to sing like crazy and got all protective of he from the other birds!

I love the Strawberries - My males sing since 5 AM.... Q

My worry is that, should I keep them together in the aviary, even though they maybe brother and sister ?

If its two brothers, that's fine!

If I see they are building a nest, then maybe separate them!

I'm glad I have them!
Now to find a few more!

If you are able to confirm that the sibling is really a "she", I believe Pony Tail Joe still has males available.

Oh-oh, Jerry, now that you have posted a closeup of the 'hen', she looks like there are some red feathers poking through. If it is a true hen, there will not be a single red feather on her breast. If there are red feathers starting to appear, that is a male starting to molt into his breeding plumage.

Several years ago, when an experienced breeder/broker sent me a male Strawberry for a lone hen I had (before I had gotten any babies), it looked like a hen. He and a friend looked closely at him before they sent him, and he had one red feather on his breast. I was told not to worry, it was definitely a male, and sure enough, he continued to molt into his red feathers. In fact, this was the start of my first bloodline, as he and that little hen produced babies for me!

Sally... if you remember my male strawberry ...everyone kept telling me it was a hen. But I heard that birds sing every day and I KNEW it couldn't be.
It never colored up until I added the two males I got from you. And I guess after the others males being in the aviary it decided it better get busy. Finally it colored up. I think it would be very easy to think a male was hen...... it took me about six months.
IF it sings.... no quesiton about it.

They seem to be getting along just fine!

I see the little bit of red, only time will tell?
In the mean time I will keep looking for more birds!
Eventually I will put together a pair!

Only the first bird sings, I have not heard the second one at all, yet!?

Good luck!!! I have three boys and one girl. I am FINALLY getting them another girl Saturday.

Gorgeous Strawberries! Goo dluck finding 2 females! I would love to get a pair. Havent seen many available over here in Ny.
