The two little ones that my FF male and my fawn/BB had decided to fledge out, one looks like it could be phaeo..there is an orange lacing in the feather edges. He has a tear, which the FS's have. He has the same coloring as the FS males but shows the lacing of orange and the orange to his flanking/sides are very wide.

The other I believe is an Isabel or another FF male (hint of chek or orange on the face) has some markings or hints it is split to phaeo. It has a buff rump with tints of orange on it...I have yet to get a good picture of it.

Adorable! They are so pretty! Looks very similar to mine, exept that mine has no tearmark or white by the beak.

Will be fun to see how they molt out

is this one of yours? is it fully feathered? can you get a pic close up? what are the parents?

No, doesn't look a fawn cheek. And Cindy, it is my u cles, a baby that recently fledged. He has a male (though not the father) who looks just like him but older. The parents are a FFmale and a bb silver isabel hen

Visual then, she has no tail bars or tear mark. The chick is so cute!

the tail has nothing on it? is the rump buff color? the tail bars will look the same as the males...look at the description of the males on efinch BB.

Dante, it is really hard to ID her without a picture. if she is BB or split, the offspring will be split.

Solid fawn tail. No tear mark, I'm sure she is a BB isabel. The dad is a FF.

Here are the two little offspring, one is a female, no cheeks or tear, it appears to be a beautiful little Isabel. She has some coloring in her tail area but still young yet.

The male is so sweet, they both are. the little boy sits and looks at me as I talk to him, he has nice marking, at time his lacing in the feather edges look orange other times it looks fawn. He is very pretty in person. Dad is a FF and mom is a fawn split to BB, her dad has the hourglass shape in hs tail feathers. Both chicks weaned nicely. So now we wait and see how they color up.

I'm still very impatient with mine, starting to think it's a girl since I have seen no male feathering. Though it is still only 4 weeks old so I guess I'll see how it goes in the nest few weeks.

I was wondering what kind of camera you usually use, because no offense, your pics are sometimes out of focus. I was wondering if you should try one trick that I have used. If you have the camera rather close to the birds (by the bars or in the cage no matter) I tend to use the Macro setting. Not a setting I would have though to use, but it works surprisingly well, the birds are much more often in focus. You should maybe give it a try I just use a very small and old digital sony camera but this trick really made a difference for me!

I have been using the phone, an EVO4G HTC, the pictures of my BC CFW came out really clear...I had trouble with my regular camera...I can try again, sometimes the pictures look clear on the phone but by the time you email and crop resize for the forum it looses quality.

The male is different than my other silver males....I'll try again.
