Is it ok to house red cheek cordon bleu and star finches together? Or is it better to house them with a canary pair?

Both the CBs and the Stars are considered passive and may do well together. If you are going to breed bot in the same cage I would offer about 4 different nesting sites for them to choose from.

Ok will do. The cordons don't seem to be showing any interest in nesting but the stars were in with my canaries and kept trying to take over her nest. It sure got the canary hen in baby making mode but I gave the stars Thier own canary style nest since she seems to love it

stars and cordons are fine together-my cordons are very bossy with my stars at breeding time. I have a lot of different nest sides and give both plenty of personal space with escape areas. Cordons, can on occasion try to dominate the live feeding stations.
