my gouldians laid 1 egg on the 27th, 1 on the morning of the 29th , and today February 1st which by the way its my birthday they still have only 2 eggs (that's three days) its this normal? oh! and they took turns sitting on the eggs during the whole day but tonight there not sleeping in the nest. i think this clutch its heading on the wrong direction again! help pulling my hair!!!!

I raise societies and by far no expert but I believe it's normal for most to lay every day but they can skip a day without much worry.

They won't "sit tight" (stay on the nest contantly) until the entire clutch of eggs has been laid. So you may get more eggs!

my hens usually lay one egg a day, ever morning. make sure you give them enough egg food and calcium. its very important! it could be they are getting enough calcium. so keep an eye on that.

@summert85 i have dry egg food , blue grit and mash baked egg shells she eats this things all the time . last time she laid only three eggs one hatch and they toss the baby after 10 days . i think the breeder sold me this for this reason there not good parents. this time i put a webcam to keep an eye on them cus i don't want another dead baby .
