The pair are advertised for $200, guaranteed by seller to be a pair...but I believe this is a broker like the one out of Naples. We have discussed both of the sellers on previous threads in the past.

We are starting to see more of the nunns in ads...perhaps they are making a comeback.

It sounds like there may have been a recent shipment brought in, and the few ads seem to be from brokers, not breeders. Hopefully, some breeders will get their hands on some of these birds and work with them.

I would love to Sally.....they are one on my wish list. If a decent group can be found I would not mind going in on it with a free local members. I am going to do some looking, especially south of me.

Just tried to call this number again.. A guy answered and when I told him I was calling about the finches the phone discobected. I though maybe a bad connection so I call right back...whent to voice mail with no identity???? Guess that's a no go.

They are brokers from what we determined before...post is about a year old on the topic.

I also struck out with them after saying I will pick them up! They answered emails until I said I was coming to get them and never responded again.

I would be interested in starting to work with these finches and establish more in our country but I am skeptical of brokers wanting to flip them. If we could breed more then even the brokers would make more money down the road.

Same hapened here a mysterious "bearded tit" add, said they would call back but never did, we knew of course who thr broker was and he was lying. I suggest www.birdandbirds.com great deals

Spoke to him on the phone and they were sold yesterday morning. He said he gets them monthly from Canada. Hard to know the background.

If he gets them in monthly why aren't we seeing more of them out there?

No clue. has was slightly vague... I also searched Canada websites and found http://www.featheredfriends.ca/ who are listed as having nuns. Anyone ever heard of them? I sent an email. They were listed on: http://www.parrotplace.ca/canary_finch.htm

The problem with getting them from Canada is the fees and I believe they have to be quarantined before coming across the border. You could ask who they ship to in the states.
