RHPF'S MORE THAN ONE PAIR?

Could I keep two pairs of Red headed parrot finches in my small aviary?
It's 6ft long x 5 ft high x 3ft deep, also there is a pair of Societies and a pair of green singers in there already.
The reason I ask is, I could get another pair and put them
together and let them pick their own mates!
Or would mine be too bonded and fight with the new pair?
Or just sell mine and get something else?

they should be fine with societies and another pair, but the singers may be a problem

Hi Jerry
I run multiple pairs of RHPF (8pr)in my aviary and have introduced new pairs with no problem to existing bonded pairs.. They really have great temperaments. I think your aviary should be fine for 2 pair. I would only be concerned about the singer temeperament but you would know that better than I. My only observation would be to ensure they dont get obese with a limited area to exercise as they are prone to this. They are one of my favorite species-luv them.
