Owl with pink beak?

Got a new owl finch the other day with a strange pink colored beak. Has anyone seen this before? It's quite attractive, and the bird seems perfectly healthy. Just kinda strange.

I know that zebra-owl hybrids have a pink beak, but this is a regular owl, definitely not a hybrid.

Here is the pic.

woahhh, i dont know why the beak is pink but he/she is so so cute  Maybe its some kind of mutation ?
I thought that all society finches had dark beaks for example, but apparently they can be pink too!

I wonder as it ages and is nourished well if the color might go to the silver/gray. Wonder if it indicated it is split to fawn...it looks male.

I have shaft tail that did this when young...itis a mutation in their case. Most changed to a light orange but one, a male kept the pearl pink in the beak with thin veining of ornge through it.

I agree with Cindy that it could indicate a split to fawn. Very interesting coloring too. It's not black and not fawn, so unusual either way.

I have no experience with fawn owls, but fawn societies have pink beaks, and fawn zebras when they are young.

I was thinking maybe it might indicate a split to fawn also. Some of the markings on the wings are slightly unusual as well, and some of the white specks are tinted brown. It's quite hard to photograph.

Here are some more pictures of the finch's back. Note the patch of brown tinting near the rump, kinda fawn-ish. Strange, no?

Those are Rich's finches. He may be able to shed some light. I have splits and fawns. Below is the closest pic I have of it. I just went and checked and my fawns do have more of a pinkish beak. This photo was when she was real young.
