Dante is right, there is a possibility that zevras will not recognize the mouth markings and not feed. On rre occassions I have had to foster other zebr mutations under another mutation. The fosters would not feed. Each zebra mutation has different mouth markings.
check this out....cutthroats are at the bottom of the page, zebras near the top

You can try it but you may end up handfeeding.

Is there a reason you think you may need fosters, will the parent cutthroats not rear their own young?

Yes i knew that cut throats were bigger in size and have different mouth and begging patterns than the zebras. My cut throat pair suddenly layed 5 eggs on the floor and wont sit on them,or go into the nests that i have hung up for them. and at the time all of my society pairs are just weaning their babies, or molting and none are sitting yet. All i have is a pair of zebras sitting on eggs for the first time. it is kind of my only hope to be able to foster them under the zebras. I was hoping that maybe someone has done it before.

You can let the zebras hatch them out but be prepared to handfeed if the zebras reject the hatchlings.

Cutthroats are very difficult to cage breed, even when they lay in the nest they abandon chicks within a week. Societies aee your best bet for fostering cutthroats
