This is my beautiful new bird, Ringo! I got him from ejaviary.com
He likes to hang upside down from the top of the cage!

He sings a lovely song too!

You can't use the img tags to upload from your computer. Try uploading them to a photo host such as photobucket.com, and using the tag from their site to post here.Hope that helps.

Edit: I see that there is a gallery here, perhaps you can upload them to the gallery on this forum, and then use the tags in your post here.

Thank you Davey for the suggestions. I uploaded an image to the gallery and it appeared successful, however, I can't find it now. Maybe it takes some time?
All the best,
Kristen

ladylovesfinch,

Please see:
http://www.finchforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=14918#14918
I think you were trying to do Option 2.
I checked out the Gallery under "Last Additions", on the lower part of the opening page. Didn't see anything new, try again

Hope that helps

Yahoo - the photo imbedded! Ringo likes to hang upside down from the top of the cage which the gouldians never do! I got Ringo from ejaviary.com and they have beautiful birds.

Cutie!! I love that you ended up calling him Ringo! My first 3 "male" societies were John, Paul and Ringo (Ringo is crested). Of course, it turned out that Paul and Ringo are girls, but the names stuck!

ladylovesfinch,

Glad to have been any help, but, not all of us understand things in the same way.

If you/DH would like to make a comment on the text, a clarification, PLEASE do (there in that Topic), it may ease someone else's plight, to do that. Agreed, it's not very simple stuff to do.

Have a good Day ! :)

Wow! I love your pic of your new bird! Thank you for sticking with it because I really was looking forward to seeing your new bird! What color do they call the color he is?

I'm curious to know where the name 'Chiyoda bonten' comes from. Sounds Japanese, certainly very exotic.

Thanks for that link, SW Houston. I am not a huge fan of mutations, worrying that on some of our species, the original true form of the bird can just about disappear, but the Society is a man-made species, and it has evolved into just about the perfect little finch, so I guess you can improve on Mother Nature!

Hi Bonkers,

I believe he is fawn colored! I really enjoy watching him and all my birds, but he is just funny sometimes. I love his little song and he is so proud to sing! It is amazing that these little guys can bring such joy to a persons heart!!!

Hi SW Houston,
I think your comments were pretty clear to my husband, but I am easily confused by technological lingo.

Thank you for all the help along the way.

Hope you have a beautiful day!
Kristen
