Finch Species Sites

Post by Sorria » Fri Feb 01, 2008 10:18 am

I was wondering if some people I can provide me with websites that have a bunch of species of finshes and have some information on them (like how to sex them, what temperature they should be kept in, ect.) I know a few websites that have places that info on finch species. But I'm looking on mainly "peaceful" finch species and found many speces such as the the Gray-Headed Munia and the Quail Finch (along with others) that I've never seen any pages on on any of the finch websites. Are there any places that have a comprehisive list of finch species and a little page about them. I know about Gouldains, Star Finches and Strawberries and stuff....I'm looking more for some of the species I found that don't seem to have any info available.

Have you checked out the Finch Information Center yet? It might have some of what you are looking for. I like the photos of all the species and the info it gives on each one.

Here is the main site..it has so much great information and is laid out for easy navigating:

Here is the section that lists the Finch species:
