Your boy is beautiful! He has a red tipped beak whereas mine had a yellow tipped beak (means mine was split to yellow head, yours is split to red head).
A Yellow Tipped Beak on a BlackHead gouldian means it is genetically YellowHead but can note express the color because it doesn't have the RedHead gene. Doesn't mean it is split to YellowHead. When bedding this bird will pass on all the genetics of a YellowHead.

A red tipped beak BlackHead is just a BlackHead. BlackHead can not be split to RedHead. All RH and BH have yellow tipped beaks, YH has yellow tipped beaks

Oh Debbi; I wish I could delete my previous post (maybe a mod can do that for me). I've been "out of Gouldians" so long now I really got mixed up on the genetics and I am embarrassed that I put wrong info out there.

Really don't think it needs to be deleted, we all make mistakes, I've made a few over the years myself. I'm sure this thread will be useful to someone reading it in the future. :)
