I'm just curious while I'm getting medication for the air sac mites on my finches that everything else is okay. I noticed today that my red female (which is one with air sac mites, with the male star that I bought a few days ago) has a bit of a dark spot on her upper beak... is that normal and just a normal part of being a female and her colouring? Or could it be something?

There's a picture of all my female stars. She's the red one and you can see the dark spot on the top of her beak...

I'm just being way overly cautious.

Is she relatively young? I learned that juvenile zebras beaks have dark spots until they mature a bit...If it isn't one thing, it's another! Good luck with your other birds...they sure are cute!
