What passive type sings the best?

Post by rkn » Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:50 pm

I am just about ready to add to my aviary!!! yayaya! Ok that being said I have looked and looked at just about all types of finches and am sticking within the passive grouping. So in your opinion which ones sing the best or most? I really want singers in my aviary!!! and of course will get their female counter parts so they have some one to sing to but love their lil songs!

ideas? what passive finches have you enjoyed most? why or why not?

thanks all,

rita

I really enjoy my Blue Capped Cordon Bleus song. I haven't got any but have heard that Strawberry finches sing beautifully

Star finches also have a nice song but it is very quiet.

I love the 8-bit Nintendo tunes that my Owls belt out, personally.

My older male Java has a great song, never heard it from other Javas, also Riff & Raff, my 2 other Javas love listening to music, Stevie Wonder in particular, Riff will often try to copy some parts hence his name.

Societies have a nice little song, and I was shocked to realize that so do star finches! I've had two boys for two years ago and only ever heard a very soft song. Then just picked up a pair, and the boy's song is so lovely that I ended up adding them to my living room instead of the bird room!

They do have a pretty nice song. I have one that sings everday all day and sometimes even at night.

Now that I have a strawberry cock I will have to say that this is the most beautiful song I have ever heard from a bird. Absolutely beautiful!!
